Experience
Majid worked in Ibn Sina psychiatric hospital from 2005- 2011. Thereafter, in 2014 he earned his Master’s degree from California, where he worked with children and older adults during his school internships in the orange county area of greater Los Angeles. In late 2014 started working for agencies that serve the homeless population providing clinical mental health services gaining another 6 years of experience in Los Angeles. Majid has experience doing biopsychosocial assessments, performing individual and group therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) along with learning how to deal with very agitated clients using crises intervention skills. During his mental health career, with homeless clients in LA and in Ibn Sina psychiatric hospital Muscat, Majid has been exposed to a wide spectrum of individuals living with mental health illnesses which includes schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, schizo-affective, major depression and anxiety disorders.
