Experience
Prior to moving to Oman in 2012, Janet practiced as a psychologist for more than 12 years in Cape Town (South Africa). This included individual, family, and couples’ counselling, with all age groups. Also, corporate debriefings, Crisis intervention, and Employee wellbeing intervention was provided in affiliation to international service providers. Therapy sessions or group interventions were provided at the practice, as well as at premises provided as per corporate requirement. Janet values healthy relationships, living mindfully and with integrity, and is passionate about her field of work, hoping to add value and to be of service to Omani and expatriate people here in Muscat. Her therapeutic approach includes Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-oriented Brief Therapy and Reality Therapy, as well as Narrative Intervention. She also enjoys Ego-State Intervention and remains sensitive to the needs of her clients, helping them incorporate their own inner resources into their healing.
